CEO, Religious Kibbutz Movement

Mrs. Sarah Evron is the CEO of the Religious Kibbutz Movement which encompasses 24 communities from all around Israel. As a child, she made Aliya with her family from the UK and grew up attending the Bnei Akiva youth movement in Rehovot. After her army service in the Nahal Brigade, Sarah joined Kibbutz Saad and married Asher. The couple have 5 children and 10 grandchildren. Over the years, she has successfully served in numerous leadership and managerial roles on the Kibbutz and in the Israeli educational system.

The Religious Kibbutz Movement is a mission-driven, community, agricultural, collaborative, religious-Zionist, settlement movement that aspires to enhance humankind and the world.

The movement advocates:

  • Active involvement in, and responsibility for, the Jewish People, both in Israel and the Diaspora, ideals it strives to realize via its institutions and practical endeavor.
  • Complete loyalty to the State of Israel, its institutions, and primarily to the IDF, and accordingly supports full IDF or national civic service for both women and men.
  • Human equality – a life of partnership, social justice, and mutual responsibility.
  • A life of positive endeavor and manual labor – striving for ‘Tikkun Olam’ by acting to benefit our fellow human beings and the land, by settling the Land of Israel, and through agriculture.
  • A life that fully integrates values of Torah and Avoda – Torah and labor. The Movement’s kibbutzim are a living model combining private, personal mitzvot and social mitzvot, Torah and modern values, and study and action.
